Vaccum F.A.Q.'s |
F.A.Q.'s Answered |
|
Should I buy a
direct pull, or a bypass system? |
With direct pull systems the dirt
and debris go through the belt, fan, motor and into the bag. As a result they
tend to have more problems. If you pick up a hard object you risk breaking the
fan, or even the motor. The bypass system eliminates all those problems. Hard
objects go directly into the bag. |
|
Should I buy
because I'm familiar with the name or I hear it
advertised a lot? |
While most vacuums were made well
years ago. Today most of the name's people are familiar with just don't hold up.
People tend to buy them because you can get them at any department store. The
better vacuums can only be purchased at a Vacuum Center, these are well worth
it! |

Should I buy a 12 amp
vacuum for the best performance? |
Most people feel that the bigger the
motor the better the vacuum will clean. Not true! While a bigger motor
does give more power in most cases. The design of the vacuum, and the amount of
airflow are even more important. We have 6amp vacuums that will out perform many
12amp vacuums; simply because of better design. We have 12amp vacuums that pull
about 30-40lbs. water weight, and others that pull from 65-105lbs. water weight.
So as you can see vacuums vary a lot. So rather than just buying off the shelf
because a vacuum looks pretty, come in to a Vacuum Center, and feel the
difference. |
